Six food shops fined Tk 2 lakh
A Chittagong City Corporation mobile court realised Tk 2.05 lakh yesterday as fines from six different restaurants and sweet stores in the port city.
Executive Magistrate Kazi Md Abdur Rahman led the drive and penalised the restaurants and stores for selling stale, rotten, and sub-standard foods.
Hotel Zamzam, Hotel Breeze, and Hotel Zaman in Court Hill area were fined Tk 20,000 each; Dayamayi Mishti Bhandar in Nandan Kanan Tk 30,000; Mishti Mela in Firingi Bazar Tk 85,000; and Crown Hotel in Court Hill Tk 30,000.
