Army deployment condemned
Awami League and left party backed Rajshahi University Progressive Teachers' Society strongly condemned and protested the decision of deployment of army in the country.
In a written statement on Tuesday, they demanded immediate withdrawal of army saying no state of emergence has arisen in the country.
Hailing the resignation of the four caretaker government advisers, the teachers' body said it was a time-worthy and a courageous decision.

The statement was signed by teachers' body Convener Professor Abdus Sobhan, Professor Muhammad Nurullah, Prof Shah Newaz Ali, Prof Mizan Uddin, Prof Ananda Kumar Saha, Prof Moly Bhoumik, Sujit Sarker, Professor Mahbubur Rahman and other members.
