Jubo Dal leader shot dead

The dead was identified as Badal Khan, 38, a member of the executive committee of Jubo Dal district unit and general secretary of ward-7 of Sadar pourashava unit.

Witnesses said the assailants wearing masks stormed into the house of Badal breaking open the door at about 3:30am. They stabbed him indiscriminately and opened fire on him, leaving him dead.

Later, the police sent the body to hospital morgue.

Family members suspect that internal party conflict might have led to the killing.
