Chhadim High School students finally get back SSC certificates

Students of Madhaiya Chhadim High School at Chandina in Comilla finally got back their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) certificates and mark sheets recently, thanks to the intervention of Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust (BLAST), says a press release.

The headmaster of the school kept the certificates and mark sheets of 50 students under his possession in order to force them to enrol in a college established by a former lawmaker.

Failing to retrieve their documents, the students contacted BLAST, who served a legal notice to the headmaster in November. The civil society members also stepped in and settled the issue. Admitting his fault, the headmaster returned the certificates to the students.
