A magistrate's court yesterday issued warrant of arrest against editor of daily Inqilab AMM Bahauddin and two reporters for failing to appear in a case despite repeated summons.

The counsel for the petitioner said Bahauddin and two reporters of the daily deliberately ignored the orders issued on June 11, July 16, August 22, September 19 and November 9 to appear personally before the court.

Magistrate Atul Sarkar yesterday issued the warrant of arrest.

Bahauddin and the reporters were accused in a case filed by a district Jamaat leader for publishing 'false, malicious and motivated' reports in the Inqilab on March 9 under caption "rise of JMB under shelter of Jamaat", "success of Rab diminished by a quarter."

The daily published another report on March 11 under caption "JMB launched the attack after meeting with Jamaat", said the petitioner.
