Adolescent girl found dead in Rajbari

The dead was identified as Mukti, 14, a resident of New Colony of College Para.

Family sources said Mukti went out of her house at 8:00pm on Saturday to collect a prize that she won in a competition held in observance of the Victory Day. But she did not return home since then.

Later, her body was found hanging from a tree in a nearby bamboo cluster yesterday morning.

Police suspect the girl might have been violated before the murder.
