Smuggled clothes worth Tk 4 cr seized, nine Indians held

Mongla Western Zone Coast Guard seized a trawler in the river near Nalian and recovered 192 bundles of clothes when those were being smuggled into Bangladesh from India.

Sensing their presence, another smuggler jumped into the river and fled the scene.

The arrested were handed over to the police. They were all from Uttar Chabbish Pargana of India, the sources said.
