Robbery at city house
A gang of robbers looted gold ornaments weighing 40 tolas, Tk 80,000 and other valuables from a house at North Badda in the city yesterday.
The gang of seven armed robbers broke into the house of Harun-ur Rashid at around 4:15am and held the family members hostage at gunpoint, police said.
The gang then ransacked the rooms and took away gold ornaments, money, two cameras, several mobile phones and wristwatches.
