19 CU students suspended

The Chittagong University authorities have suspended 19 students and expelled another on different charges on the campus this year.

The Board of Health and Disciplinary Committee took the decision at a meeting on December 17 with Vice Chancellor Prof Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury in the chair, Proctor Ali Asgar Chowdhury told a press briefing at his office yesterday.

Of the 20, Tayobur Rahman of electronics and communication engineering was expelled for assaulting teachers at different times.
