Petrobangla Bhaban fire doused

The fire that broke out at Petrobangla Bhaban in Dhaka's Karwan Bazar area this morning has been doused after 45 minutes.

Mohammad Ershad, a duty officer at Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters, said the fire was originated on the 13th floor of the 15-storey building at 9:26am.

On information, seven firefighting units rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze around 10:15am, the fire service official said.

The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.

No casualties were reported, Mohammad Ershad said.
