Iraqis hand over body to US embassy
"A body was found and handed over to us today," said an embassy official, declining to identify the body or give further details.
An internet statement late Tuesday attributed to the Tawhid wal Jihad (Unity and Holy War) group said it had beheaded US national Jack Hensley, the day after it showed a graphic video of the execution of his colleague Eugene "Jack" Armstrong.
Washington had confirmed on Monday that a body found that day in western Baghdad was that of Armstrong .
Another Internet statement posted Wednesday and attributed to Tawhid wal Jihad, a group of militants loyal to suspected Al-Qaeda operative Abu Mussab al-Zarqawi, threatened that Briton Kenneth Bigley would meet the fate of the Americans if women prisoners are not released from US-run detention facilities in Iraq.
