5 extortionists arrested

Five persons were arrested Tuesday night for demanding Tk 50,000 toll to a shrimp farm owner at Machha Khola village in Satkhira Sadar upazila.

The arrested persons are Kawsar Dhali, Saiful Islam, Rahmat Ali, Azizul Islam and Ruhul Amin.

Police said they rushed to the spot on information from farm owner Abdul Mazed and arrested the culprits from the spot. A case has been filed.
