PSTU students continue class boycott
Students of agriculture faculty of the Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) continued class boycott for third day yesterday to press their demand for arrangement of tour to Saarc countries.
At about 10 am, about 500 students of seven semesters of the faculty brought out a procession and held a rally in front of the academic building.
Jahangir Kabir, Arifur Rahman, Noman and Rahat Mahmud addressed the rally.
They warned the authority that they will go for tougher programme if their demand was not met without further delay.
About Tk 20 lakh have been deposited for the programme but no steps have been taken for Saarc tour, they alleged.
The students began class boycott since Saturday.
Earlier, they submitted a memorandum to the vice-chancellor (VC) demanding Saarc tour. The VC formed a committee which submitted their report in favour of students' demand.
