Ex-Dinajpur MP Amzad Hossain passes away

Amzad was taken to hospital following a cardiac attack. He was 62.

He left behind 2 sons and 2 daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.

Four namaj-e-Janaja were held before he was buried in his family graveyard. He was given a guard of honor for being a freedom fighter.

Dinajpur Awami League unit sources said Amzad was elected twice as parliamentary member from Dinajpur in '73 and '86.

Political leaders, journalists and local elites expressed deep shock at his death and conveyed condolence to the bereaved family.
