Man jailed for rape attempt

Judge A M Md Sayed pronounced the judgement under the Women and Child Repression Act.

The prosecution case says, in 1997 the 11-year-old girl of village Shidhan was dragged to nearby banana garden by Balal Hossain of same village when she came out of her hut in the early morning.

As Belal was trying to violet her she cried for help. On hearing the cry, locals came to her help but the accused managed to flee.
