India-Pak agree to start another bus link
India and Pakistan on Wednesday agreed in principle to start a bus service between Amritsar and Nankana Sahib in Lahore.
Indian and Pakistani officials attending the first round of technical level talks for the operation-alisation of Lahore-Amritsar bus service, which lasted for two days, issued a joint statement to this effect yesterday.
According to the joint statement, the two sides discussed the modalities for operationalisation of the Amritsar-Lahore bus service, including the designated route, bus terminals, and facilities for the bus crew, modalities of visa arrangements and a Protocol/MoU for the Amritsar-Lahore bus service.
