One killed, 10 injured in B'baria storm

Bhabatush, 40, a night guard, was killed when a tree fell on his house at Medda in the pourasabha area.

The 10-minut morning foray tore down at least 100 houses, uprooted trees blocking roads and snapped power supply. The power supply was however restored in the afternoon.

The badly affected areas are Kazipara, Medda, Sarkerpara, Sarifpur, Kandepara, North Mourai and Puniant in Brahmanbaria Pourasabha and Shuhilpur, Nandanpur in the Sadar upazila.

The storm also snapped telephone connections at places.
