'Support high for Manmohan after one year in office'
A majority of Indian voters think Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has done a good job and is an honest politician as his Congress Party-led coalition approaches one year in office, opinion polls said yesterday.
Two out of three respondents in a survey by the Times of India newspaper said Singh had done a "good" or "average" job, while only seven percent rated his performance as poor.
Another survey by The Week magazine found more than 70 percent thought Singh was the "most honest" politician in the country with an equal number saying he had "fared well" in the past year.
