Pakistan mosque attack suspect remanded

Pakistani motor-cyclists pass by a burning tyre along a deserted street during a strike called by the Islamic fundamentalist political party, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), in Karachi yesterday to protest against the killing of a local party leader, Aslam Mujahid, who was kidnapped and shot dead on 30 May. Mohammad Tehsin was arrested after suffering head injuries when he and two other men including the suicide bomber attacked the mosque in Karachi on Monday. Two worshippers, a policeman and the other attackers died.
An angry mob of Shiite youths then went on a rampage in which four workers at the US fast food restaurant burned to death.
