50 prisoners fall sick in Dinajpur jail

As the news spread in the town on Friday, relatives of prisoners crowded the jail gate to know their condition.

The jail sources said the sick prisoners were being taken at the jail hospital and doctors were celled from Dinajpur Medical College for this.

When contacted, Civil Surgeon Abul Kalam yesterday said the situation is under control.

There are about 1400 prisoners in Dinajpur Jail which has accommodation for only 400.
