Two German soldiers, 6 Afghans die in explosion
Two German soldiers serving with the international force in Afghani-stan and six local employees were killed Saturday when a stock of munitions exploded accidentally, informed sources in Berlin said.
They quoted Muhammad Omar, governor of the northern Kunduz province, as confirming the report.
Germany has about 2,000 troops stationed in Afghanistan as part of the Nato International Security Assistance Force (ISAF).

Omar said the explosion happened in neighbouring Takhar province while an Afghan commander was collecting munitions. There was an explosion as some ordnance was being loaded onto a truck.
The security commander in Kunduz confirmed the details of the event, although the exact location of the explosion remained unclear.
The German detachment has a reconstruction team stationed in Kunduz.
