A Mix of Science and Myth

A Mix of Science and Myth

Our cover story this week is on the National Robotics Festival 2014 which took place on February 7 at the National Sports Council, Dhaka. This event drove home the point that Bangladesh is not lagging behind in terms of talent. We have our own drones and problem-solving robots in the making. But most heartening of all is the fact that school-going kids took an interest in something as complicated as robotics and attended the festival along with students of colleges and universities.
Our regular political commentary column 'The Rat Race', which had become somewhat irregular, makes an appearance in this issue; this time to rant about the travails of women who want to join politics in the male dominated political scenario of Bangladesh.
Also in this issue: the resident psychiatrist takes a look at the self-important people we have to deal with every day, and how it might not be their fault after all. And before signing off, we must warn you, the end is near. At least according to the Vikings, who will be waiting for doomsday on the 22nd of February. Good Luck.
