Android MAKE IT LOOK BETTER

The Lock-Screen: Cover
The default Android lockscreen leaves a lot to be desired. It's just a whole lot of empty space that could be used for so much more. That's where Cover, our lockscreen replacement of choice, comes in. Cover basically helps you use that untapped potential. It aims to deliver a feature-rich app that learns from your habits, helping you use your phone as efficiently as possible.
Why:
Because Android, for all its merits, has an unattractive, inefficient, interface. If you're going to have a smartphone, might as well make it work for you.
Features:
-Lets you “peek” into apps without completely opening them on your phone.
-Quick and easy app switching
-Native settings depending on where you are. Home, work, car, etc.
-Learns which apps you use most and when.
What it does:
After some setting up, Cover basically does all your work for you. It's more than your average lockscreen. It detects where you are and shows apps that you use the most when you are either at home, work, or on the road. The most used apps are displayed front and centre, so you can access them the fastest.

The Home-Screen/Launcher: Aviate
Aviate is an app launcher and home screen rolled into a single package. Just in its infancy, the app is still in beta, invite-only phase. Aviate started out with the goal to become the first time and location-aware launcher, but a lot has happened since then, and back in January the developer, ThumbsUp Labs, was purchased for a whopping $80 million.
Why:
Again, Android's default launcher makes Miley Cyrus look like marriage-material.
Features:
-Divides your phone into three location-based screens, much like Cover.
-Streamlines the phone's interface, making it feel faster and efficient.
-Auto-organises apps into “Collections” like Work, Social, Going Somewhere, etc.
What it does:
Well, for starters, it definitely improves on the UI. Suddenly from apps in random orders, everything's organised and in its place under a correct heading; be it collective or alphabetical. However, Aviate doesn't give you as much freedom to customise to your heart's content, but there isn't much more you could want after using it. You only have a light and dark theme to choose from, a downloadable icon pack, and that's about it. Aviate is perfect for minimalists as it only brings the most relevant information in front of you in a clean, modern interface.
