JS goes into session on Sept 25

Parliament will go into its 12th session on September 25 after a 59-day recess.

President Abdul Hamid convened the session exercising the power conferred upon him by the constitution, said a PID handout yesterday.

Before the House goes into session at 5:00pm, the business advisory committee of parliament will meet to fix the duration and businesses of the coming session.

Earlier, the budget session of parliament was prorogued on July 27 after 32 sittings that passed 16 bills.

In the 11th session, the Tk 340,600-crore national budget for 2016-17 fiscal was placed on June 2 and it was passed on June 30.
