Students from different engineering universities, schools and colleges are encouraged to take part in this multidimensional tech festival. ESAB, a non-profit and voluntary national organisation of engineering students, is arranging the festival to promote robotic technology among students. The festival is taking place as a continuation of last year's robotic contest, “Robi-Prothom Alo Global Robotics Challenge”, which was the regional segment of Techkriti '13, a grand robotic contest arranged yearly by IIT, Kanpur, India.
This year ESAB is arranging a competition as part of the annual robotic festival. Apart from iARC, there will be three other big events. Motivating school and college students to explore their knowledge on robotics, a new event, titled “Exploring the Dreams”, has been added. Like last year, iARC will be the major focus of this tech festival. Participants of iARC will have to face challenge to solve a maze full of obstacles in the game with their line following robots. They have to find out the shortest path in the maze in the shortest possible time. The event will test participants' analytical and coding skills, and help them bring out the genius in them. Another major attraction of the event is 'Robots Got Freedom', where students are called for building a robot, capable of doing a particular task without any dependency on mankind. Different problem solving as well as entertaining robots will be displayed for the audiences in this segment.
