Stocks continue gaining

Stocks continued going upwards for the second day today thanks to the purchasing tendency of the investors in the presence of many lucrative shares.

The DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, surged 103 points, or 2 per cent, to stand at 5,281.

At the premier bourse, 240 stocks advanced, 15 declined and 91 remained the same.

Many investors bought shares as buoyancy returned considering the recent continuous fall of the index, market analysts say.

Turnover, an important indicator of the stock market, rose to Tk 508 crore, which was Tk 236 crore yesterday.
