Fire at polythene factory brought under control

A fire that broke out at a polythene factory in the city's Suarighat area this morning has been brought under control.

The fire originated around 10:25am, said Enayet Hossain, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters

On information, six fire-fighting units reached to the spot and brought the fire under control around 11:15am, the duty officer said.

The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
