2 BRUR admission seekers jailed for copying

A Rangpur mobile court on Wednesday convicted two candidates for cheating through SMS during the admission tests for the first year honours courses of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur.

Md Saddam Hossain, 19, of Lalbag in the city, was jailed for 10 days, while Md Abdul Awal, 19, of Chandpur district, for 15 days by the court led by Executive Magistrate ABM Khalid Hossain Siddique.

The two were caught red handed by the invigilators at Rangpur Government College centre while they were copying from SMSs, said Mohammad Ali, information and public relations officer of BRUR.

The order came after they were produced before the mobile court.
