2 DU students held for harassing female peer

Police yesterday detained two Dhaka University students of the history department over allegedly harassing a female student of the same department.

Ashfaq Al Noor, a master's student, and Asad Shah, a fourth-year student, were disturbing the female student over the phone sending her abusive messages for some days, said a written complaint lodged by the victim.

Confirming the matter, DU acting proctor M Amzad Ali said the university authority will take steps against the culprits if they were found guilty.
