7 DU students get Tajuddin Ahmad awards

Tajuddin Ahmad Memorial Trust Fund yesterday awarded seven Dhaka University students, marking the 90th birth anniversary of Tajuddin Ahmad, the first prime minister of the country.

Vice Chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique distributed the prizes at the university's senate building.

Tanima Megdalina and Nasreen Jebin of peace and conflict studies were awarded with Tajudddin Ahmad Peace Gold Medal and Tajudddin Ahmad Scholarship respectively for their outstanding results.

Md Shafiqul Islam of anthropology, Nusrat Tasnim and Ibrahim Khalil Muhim of law, Md Abu Nayeem of the Institute of Education and Research, and Faisal Ahmed Shourav of peace and conflict studies received Tajuddin Ahmad Trust Fund Prizes for securing first to fifth positions in an essay competition.
