Abdul Alim's death anniversary

Today is the 41th death anniversary of Abdul Alim, a distinguished folk singer of Bangladesh.

He is famous for his songs like "Holdiya Pakhi Sonai Boron…," "Porer Jaiga Porer Jomi…" and many more.

Alim recorded over 300 gramophone records and sang playback songs in more than 100 films. He died in 1974.

Abdul Alim Foundation and different social and cultural organisations will observe the death anniversary while Bangladesh Betar, Bangladesh Television and other TV channels will broadcast special programmes.
