ADP to see hefty allocations in priority sectors
The Annual Development Programme (ADP) for the next fiscal year is likely to see hefty allocations in priority sectors like education, health, rural development, communication and transport, including railways, power and ICT.
"The next ADP size will be bigger and the next fiscal year will be the year during which development projects will be much more visible to people," Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal told the news agency.
He said the actual work on mega projects would start next year with significant allocations.
He further said the number of projects in the new ADP would also increase since the size of the country's economy is increasing day by day.
According to Fiscal Coordination Council's meeting this Wednesday, the next ADP is likely to see Tk 92,000 crore. The planning ministry along with the finance ministry is carrying out the necessary works on framing the new ADP.
