Barking deer rescued in Ctg
Officials of Department of Environment (DoE), Chattogram rescued a barking deer in Akbar Shah area of the city yesterday.
Muktadir Hasan, assistant director of Chattogram DoE, told The Daily Star that they rushed to the spot to rescue the deer once locals informed them.
“We found the deer injured and took it to Chattogram Zoo for treatment immediately, where we handed it over to wildlife conservation wing of the forest department,” he said.
Contacted, Abu Naser Md Yeasin Neyaz, divisional officer of forest (wildlife conservation), told The Daily Star that the deer was undergoing treatment as one of its hind legs had some injuries.
