Brothers arrested for beating traffic policeman

Police yesterday arrested two youths in a case filed over beating an traffic policeman at Chashara in Narayanganj.

The arrestees Benoy, 24, and Tanmoy, 26, sons of Sourav Dehuly, were held for beating up Sohel Rana, said Joynal Abedin Mandal, Inspector (Operation) of Narayanganj Sadar Police Station.

Benoy’s car collided with an auto-rickshaw and created a traffic congestion. Following this, Sohel instructed the drivers of two vehicles to pull over on the roadside.

Enraged, Benoy and Tonmoy beat up Sohel and dragged him inside the car, the inspector said.
