Chhatra Union council begins at DU

The three-day 37th national council of Bangladesh Chhatra Union, a student organisation backed by the Communist Party of Bangladesh, began at Dhaka University yesterday.

Prof Dwijen Sharma, an eminent scientist, inaugurated the event at Aparajeyo Bangla.

Next two days' conferences will be held in TSC auditorium on September 14, 15.

The last Chhatra Union council was held on February 17-19, 2014 where Hasan Tarec and Laki Akhter were elected president and general secretary respectively.
