Chief justice forms vacation benches for HC

Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain has constiuted 12 single-judge High Court benches for hearing and disposing of cases during the court's annual vacation.

Appellate and High Court Divisions of the Supreme Court went on vacation from yesterday and will reopen on August 9.

The benches will virtually conduct judicial functions, said a notification by SC administration on Thursday.

The judges are: Justices Tariq ul Hakim, Muhammad Abdul Hafiz, Syed Refaat Ahmed, Md Rais Uddin, AKM Abdul Hakim, FRM Nazmul Ahasan, Abu Zafor Siddique, Sheikh Hassan Arif, Md Ruhul Quddus, Farid Ahmed, Shahidul Karim and SM Kuddus Zaman.
