CPA vessel capsizes at Ctg Port
A water-supplier vessel capsized in front of a jetty near the Dock office of Chittagong Port yesterday.
The 40-metre vessel, MV Mashak owned by the Chittagong Port Authority (CPA), started sinking around 5:00am when water was being loaded in it, said CPA Director (admin) Jafar Alam. One of the seven crewmen fell into the river but was rescued immediately while others managed to get down safely, said port officials. CPA vessels with Bangladesh navy were trying to salvage the vessel till filing the report.
