Ctg boy 'raped' by local youths

A 13-year-old boy was allegedly raped by five youths in Bayezid area of Chittagong city early Saturday.

The boy came under attack when he went to a field in front of their rented house in Sherhshah area around 1:00am Saturday to have a respite from severe heat, said his family.

The five youths, who were sitting there, caught and threatened the boy showing sharp objects and raped him for nearly two hours, they said.

The assaulters ran away when family members came out of home looking for him.

The victim identified the attackers as Miraj, 18, Sohel, 20, Hannan, 26, Shohag, 20, and an unknown youth, all residents of Shershah and Textile areas of Bayezid.

The father of the class VII student filed a complaint with Bayezid Police Station yesterday.

Officer-in-Charge of Bayezid Police Station Md Mohsin said they were looking for the assaulters.

He said the boy underwent a medical examination, and the report would be available today.
