Eight gold bars recovered from passenger's rectum at Ctg airport

Customs officials recovered eight gold bars, weighing 1kg and worth Tk 40 lakh, from the rectum of a passenger of a flight at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong city yesterday.

The detainee, Mohammad Parvez, of Hathazari upazila in Chittagong, was a passenger of Fly Dubai flight that landed at the airport around 10:20am.

Finding his movement suspicious, customs officials intercepted Parvez at the exit gate and found that the gold bars were kept hidden inside his rectum, Customs officials said.
