Field-level officers must be at office on time: govt circular

Unb,Dhaka

Field-level government officers and employees have been directed to remain present at their offices from 9am to 9:40am on a mandatory basis, aiming to bring dynamism into government activities.

The Cabinet Division issued a circular in this regard yesterday.

“It has come to our attention that some officers and employees do not attend office timely showing various excuses, including official or personal work. As a result, it becomes difficult for people and officials of other agencies to communicate with the officers concerned. This causes general people to suffer as it slows down government work,” it said.

“It needs to be kept in mind while preparing office schedules that their [field officers’ and employees’] office presence is not hampered from 9am to 9:40 am.”

The circular sais the order will not be applicable for officers providing VVIP/VIP protocol, tackling major accidents, attending important meetings, or travelling as per permitted schedules.
