Gobeshona conference ends at IUB

The 2nd Annual Gobeshona Conference at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), concluded on Monday on the university campus in the capital, organised by the International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD).

The Gobeshona Conference for Research on Climate Change in Bangladesh was part of the Gobeshona Programme.

Environment and Forests Minister Anwar Hossain Monju attended the programme as the chief guest and IUB VC Prof M Omar Rahman chaired its closing ceremony.

Inter Parliamentary Union president Saber Hossain Chowdhury, Charge d' Affairs of Canadian High Commission Christian Tardiff, Prof John Timmons Roberts of Brown University, ICCCAD  director  Dr Saleemul Huq  and executive  director of  BCAS Dr Atiq Rahman also spoke.
