Held photo journo denied bail again

A Sylhet court yesterday again denied bail to photojournalist Idris Ali in a case filed over the murder of blogger Ananta Bijoy Das.

Farhana Yasmin, judge of Sylhet Metropolitan Magistrate Court 2, passed the order. Earlier on June 17, the same court denied bail to Idris Ali.

On June 15, Idris, a photojournalist for local newspaper The Sobuj Sylhet and The Daily Songbad, was sent to jail at the end of a seven-day remand.

Ananta Bijoy Dash was hacked to death in Sylhet's Subidbazar area on May 12. On May 25, the investigation was handed over to the CID's organised crime unit.
