There is nothing as pure and innocent as a child’s creative imagination. Children are the future of our society. In order to help unleash children’s creativity, The Daily Star in association with Arla Foods Ltd is launching “Imagine Nation”, an inter-school art competition ahead of Universal Children’s Day.

The theme of the art competition will be “How our children foresee Bangladesh.”

The competition will take place at different English medium schools. Top 30 artworks selected by the judges will be exhibited in the final round at The Daily Star Centre.

Established as Universal Children’s Day in 1954, the day promotes international togetherness, creates awareness among children worldwide, and improves children’s welfare.

On November 20, 1959, UN General Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child. It is also the date in 1989 when the UN General Assembly adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
