Ivy Rahman’s 15th death anniversary

The 15th death anniversary of Ivy Rahman, former president of Bangladesh Mahila Awami League and wife of late President M Zillur Rahman, will be observed today in a befitting manner.

Ivy was grievously injured during a grenade attack on an AL rally on Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital on August 21, 2004, and succumbed to  her injuries on August 24.

Marking the day, political and socio-cultural organisations have chalked out elaborate programmes across the country.
