JU fines five errant eatery owners

The authority of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Hall of Jahangirnagar University fined five food shop owners Tk 23,000 for on different charges, including not maintaining hygiene and not displaying food price list.

Resident teachers of the hall conducted a drive in Battala area, where most of the students take food, on the campus on Monday night and fined the shop owners.

Of them, Shanto was fined Tk 10,000, Latif and Johir Tk 5,000 each, Kader Tk 2,000 and Shaber Hossain Tk 1,000.
