Juta election today

The election to the 15-member executive committee of Jahangirnagar University Teachers' Association (Juta) for 2016 session will be held today at the university teachers' club.

The voting will continue from 9:30am to 1:30pm, and its results will be made public the same day.

Alleging that the teachers' body is not properly discharging its duties, the Shikkhak Samaj, a left-leaning teachers' forum, is refraining from contesting in the election but will vote, said its spokesperson Associate Prof Raihan Rayne.
