Lawyers-court staff clash hurts 10

Ten people were injured in a clash between lawyers and court employees on the district judge court premises in Laxmipur town yesterday.

The lawyers have been striking for the last three days protesting a court decision that stopped construction of extension building of the District Bar Association.

However, the judges and employees are continuing court activities that prompted the lawyers to bring out a procession at the court demanding the judges' transfer yesterday.

Later, the employees had an altercation with the lawyers leading to the clash in which some doors and glasses of the courts were vandalised, said locals.
