Madrasa students perform better than previous year
Madrasa students performed better than the previous year, as the madrasa board saw rise in the success rate and the number of GPA 5 achievers, according to results published yesterday.
The madrasa board has topped the list of 10 education boards with the pass rate of 88.56 percent. Last year, the pass rate was 78.67 percent.
A total of 2,243 madrasa students achieved highest grade point average 5, an increase by 999 compared to previous year.
A total of 86,138 students -- 48,000 male and 38,138 female -- took the Alim examinations this year.
As in HSC exams, female students fared better than their male counterparts. The pass rate of female students stands at 89.27 percent against 87.99 percent male pass rate.
Of the total 2,699 madrasas, 615 achieved 100 percent success rate, while no madrasa has zero pass rate.
Last year, 288 madrasas achieved 100 percent success rate.
TECHNICAL EDUCATION BOARD
The pass rate of Technical Education Board rose to 82.62 percent from 75.50 percent last year. Number of GPA 5 scorers has also seen increase.
A total of 1,24,320 -- 87864 male and 36456 female students -- took the HSC vocational exams.
A total of 3,236 -- 1,913 girls and 1,323 boys -- secured GPA-5.
Of the total 1,785 technical institutes, 121 achieved 100 percent success rate while no institute has zero pass rate.
Last year, no technical institute achieved 100 percent success rate, while seven had zero pass rate.
