Maharashtra seeks more trade ties with Dhaka

Expressing satisfaction over the existing relationhip between India and Bangladesh, Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis has called for strengthening economic and trade relations with Maharashtra.

He made the call when Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Mumbai Samina Naz paid a courtesy call on him at Shayadri State Guesthouse, Mumbai, yesterday.

Samina sought the chief minister's cooperation for developing relations, especially with Maharashtra, which is the business capital of India, and for exploring new trade potentials.

She stated that investors from India may explore investment opportunities especially in energy and power, infrastructure, agro-business and ship building sectors of Bangladesh.

She also invited the chief minister to be a part of the Indian prime minister's delegation during his possible upcoming visit to Bangladesh.
