Male keen to recruit more physicians

The Maldives is eager to recruit more physicians from Bangladesh and sought cooperation from Bangladesh in the areas of higher education and trainings programmes in different sectors.

This was stated by the newly appointed High Commissioner of the Maldives Dr Mohammed Asim when he met Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali at the foreign ministry yesterday. Foreign minister said Bangladesh wants to work with the Maldives in exploring marine resources as the latter has experiences in deep-sea fishing, said a press release.

He also said Bangladesh's bilateral cooperation with the Maldives would be expanded further with the full-fledged resumption of Maldivian High Commission in Dhaka. The minister assured him of extending all-out support.
